A long time ago I was a sailor and an adventure guide. These days I’m a writer and poet, knees-deep in motherhood, submission windows and the lantana patch behind our shed-house.
Recently I was delighted to find out I had placed first (and second) in the Kyogle Readers & Writers Poetry Comp. Other achievements include being Highly Commended for the Liquid Amber Poetry Prize, Commended for the Ros Spencer Prize and twice shortlisted in the Calanthe Prize for an unpublished poem.
In 2025, I was the grateful recipient of a Faber Poetry scholarship and competed in the QLD State finals of the Australian Poetry Slam. My writing has been published (or is forthcoming) in Verity La, Jacaranda Journal, JJ Online, Liquid Amber Anthology of Flight, Brushstrokes VI, Swim Meet Lit Mag, Uplift and Denizen’s Digest and elsewhere.
